DEVELOPMENT OF PASPORUMKM ONLINE PLATFORM FOR SELFGUIDED PREPARATION OF HALAL CERTIFICATION ON THE CASE OF SMES IN THE FOOD SECTOR

Abstract

Begin UMKM covers around 98% of the total business in Indonesia. From the entirety of the UMKM, food processing is among the top 3 of the total demographics. Additionally, in 2014 Indonesian government has created a regulation of Undang-Undang No. 33 Tahun 2014 in which stated that all products that are regulating in Indonesian market must have Halal certification and the government will create a transition time for UMKM to be able to apply Halal certificate for their product. This creates an urgency for the UMKM to fulfill the requirements needed to be able to reach Indonesian market. PasporUMKM is a digital platform providing UMKM for their needs of documents for Halal certification. This system would digitalize the input of the documents according to Indonesian halal assurance system. The first prototype was created and tested using user acceptance test to test mainly the functionality and interface of the system. It received a positive result with some feedbacks and evaluations to consider.
