IMPLEMENTATION OF CLEANER PRODUCTION PROGRAM TO REDUCE COST ENERGY AT PT UNITED TRACTORS SITE BONTANG

Abstract

In 2020 until now, there is still a Coronavirus Disease 2019 pandemic that has an impact on the company's business processes, one of which is PT UT Bontang, because the government and companies issue memos or health protocols that affect the delivery flow of employees in the East Block and the operational costs of diesel fuel consmption, rental vehicles, and consumable goods in the company increased. It can be seen from the Internal Financial Highlights data of UT Bontang with conditions of decline in Opex to Sales and Gross Profit in the company. This thesis will discuss the implementation of the Cleaner Production program to reduce increased operational costs and to increase company profits during the pandemic by using the DMAIC problem-solving approach (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). And the results of the implementation of the program in this study are to reduce the cost of diesel consumption, reduce the cost of consumable goods by 7%, reduce vehicle rental costs by 26%, increase Gross Profit by 21.0% and Opex to Sales by 7.0% in business. company processes. This research can be developed again on a digital platform for future research.
