IMPROVE NETWORK DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT PARTS HEAVY EQUIPMENT PT. ABC FOR EMERGENCY CUSTOMER ORDER

Abstract

The growth of the mining industry encourages competition in the heavy equipment sales industry which is very challenging, making distributor companies to improve quality, and services to increase their market share or sales. One important aspect is the quality of freight forwarder or 3PL services to distribute or deliver spare parts in a timely and fast manner to customers. This study aims to make a freight forwarder selection system and evaluate to improve the quality of freight forwarder services at one of the largest heavy equipment distributor companies in Indonesia. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is used to assess criteria weights and determine vendors according to company criteria, with the Super decision tool to perform calculations and evaluate vendor performance. Process analysis is carried out using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method to identify important criteria and sub-criteria and low freight forwarder performance for improvement, and the Sensitivity method to identify criteria and sub-criteria that have reverse points for freight forwarder improvements.
