Abstract

There are 1,297,021 ornamental fish farming producers in Indonesia. With a valuation of Rp.19.81 billion in sales in 2019, it means that ornamental fish sales are a sizable market in Indonesia. Currently, it is difficult to find POS and inventory systems that cater to this kind of business because the conventional inventory systems and/or POS systems are not really fit for it. So, this thesis research is done to design and develop POS and inventory system for ornamental fish shops to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the shop’s business process. This thesis research uses a waterfall model as the SDLC methodology. The overall steps include business analysis, requirements gathering, system analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and deployment, verification, and market testing. This thesis research concludes that the KOIPOS has been successfully implemented and hosted in live server with features that can improve the business process of ornamental fish shops, to speed up document generation, and suitable to be used by ornamental fish shops, and is feasible to continue this project as a start-up.
